Food Grade Continues Working DHC500 Beer Yeast Disc Centrifuge
The disc stack separator, also known as a conical plate centrifuge, is a vertical centrifuge designed to rapidly separate solids and liquids through high-speed centrifugal force. Driven by a motor, the bowl rotates at high speeds containing a set of nested discs. These discs create small gaps that facilitate centrifugal sedimentation, shortening the settling distance and expanding the effective area, which significantly increases production capacity.
There are two primary types: 2-Phase (solid-liquid) and 3-Phase (liquid-liquid-solid). The 3-phase version features two liquid discharge ports and one slag port, allowing the simultaneous separation of two liquids with different specific gravities. With a G-force up to 12,000G, the disc stack separator provides more thorough clarification compared to decanter centrifuges, especially for materials containing fine particles.
